St. Peter congregation was founded by a group of Lutheran immigrants from . It was organized on October 5, 1868. Christian education for the youth of the congregation was a priority. The original Christian Day School was held in the basement of the church in the late 1800’s. The first Christian Day School was built in 1910. The second church which was built was lost to a fire in May, 1907. The current church was dedicated in December, 1907. Our membership consists of men, women and children.
